D’s By: Dylan Tip: If any of your questions are wrong on all the D's accept DOL than you have to fix all the questions that were wrong and then give the paper back to Mrs.Truby
DOL(Daily Oral Language) DOL is a weekly paper, were you find corrections in the sentence and then you would fix the correction. If you were here at TIS (The Independent School) last year you probably know what DOL is. DOL is a very easy paper but if you need help you should use your voice and ask Mrs Truby. One of the best parts of DOL is that the person of the day gets to do one of the two questions that you do each day. Also the person of the day gets to pick another person to do the second question. You also get paid coupons if you finish all 10 questions over the weekend.
DOG (Daily Oral Geography) DOG is easy but can be a challenge at times. DOG is a weekly paper that you normally have to use your atlas for to find the questions DOG is a paper that you’ll get the hang of really fast, but if you need help you can ask Mrs. Truby.
Example: What ocean is bigger the Arctic or Pacific?
DOA (Daily Oral Analogy) DOA is my favorite weekly paper but DOA can be very challenging. DOA is a paper that is all antonyms and comparison. Antonyms are the opposite of the first idea and a comparison is comparing two things. You might not get the hang of DOA easily like me it took me a little while to get a hang of DOA but I finally understood.
Example: Puppy: dog :: Kitten: _
DOM (Daily Oral Math) DOM is just simple weekly math but as the year passes on the problems get harder. DOM in my opinion can be fun but not always. When you first start of with DOM most things on the paper you should know but maybe not. Mrs. Truby will always help on this paper but sometimes she will just help you get started on it and if you really don’t understand she will explain the problem to you. The cool thing about DOM is that you only have to answer three out of five questions.
Example: 10x4-10+5=35
